Ardbeg Heavy Vapours is an experimental and daring Islay single malt released as a limited edition in 2023. For this expression, the distillery removed the usual copper purifier during distillation, allowing heavier vapors to condense back into the spirit. This process creates a whisky with an intensified smoky and aromatic profile that pushes the boundaries of traditional Ardbeg character.

Tasting Notes:
Nose: Intense aromas of earthy tar, dark chocolate cream, and smoked artichoke. Adding water enhances the smoky and creamy complexity.
Palate: Bittersweet flavors of burnt wood, warm spices, coffee, eucalyptus, and untamed smokiness dominate the palate.
Finish: Long, bold, and almost anesthetizing with lingering smoky warmth.
